Kuwaiti Electricity Minister: "We Aim to Achieve 50% Renewable Energy by 2050..

 Dr. Sabah Al-Mukhaizeem, Kuwait's Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, affirmed on Sunday that achieving a balanced energy mix with 50% renewable electricity by 2050 is a strategic priority for the State of Kuwait.

The announcement came during his opening speech at the Kuwait Sustainable Energy Conference and Exhibition, a three-day event held under the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, reinforcing Kuwait's commitment to sustainable development and its role in supporting regional and global efforts toward efficient and sustainable energy systems.

Key Highlights from the Conference:

1. Kuwait’s Renewable Energy Roadmap

  • Ambitious Projects: Dr. Al-Mukhaizeem emphasized that Kuwait’s renewable energy transition is backed by well-studied plans and ambitious projects, aligning with international commitments and sustainable development goals.
