Acting Prime Minister Receives Delegation from National Cybersecurity Center Participating in 4th Gulf Cybersecurity Exercise..

 His Excellency Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, Acting Prime Minister of Kuwait, received on Sunday the Kuwaiti delegation from the National Cybersecurity Center (NCC) that participated in the 4th Gulf Cybersecurity Exercise, hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on April 22 with participation from all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.

Key Highlights:

  • Recognition of Excellence: Sheikh Fahad honored the NCC delegation for achieving top rankings in the technical segment of the exercise, praising their performance as a reflection of Kuwait’s high cyber readiness and capability in countering cyberattacks and digital threats.

  • GCC Cybersecurity Collaboration: The exercise, aligned with resolutions from the 3rd Ministerial Committee for Cybersecurity Meeting, aimed to:

    • Strengthen GCC cyber defense cooperation and knowledge-sharing.

    • Enhance technical capacities of specialized entities.

  • Simulated Threat Scenarios: Focused on defending against virtual cyberattacks targeting Operational Technology (OT) systems and IT infrastructures, mirroring real-world threats to bolster GCC cyber teams’ preparedness.

  • Participant Engagement: Nearly 30 specialists from GCC cybersecurity agencies underwent advanced technical scenario drills, incident response training, and best-practice exchanges.
