Governor of Al Ahmadi: The political leadership is always keen on empowering Kuwaiti women and supporting them in various fields..

Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Tuesday while patronizing celebrations for Kuwaiti Women's Day (observed annually on May 16) under the slogan "A Glorious Past... A Sustainable Future," the Governor stated this occasion honors Kuwaiti women's efforts and contributions while reinforcing their societal role as fundamental partners in national development.

During the event organized by Faza'a Al-Dahiya team in cooperation with Kuwait Oil Company and attended by several sponsors, he noted Kuwaiti women stood shoulder-to-shoulder with men during the nation's darkest hours, establishing themselves today as essential partners in modern Kuwait's development across all sectors.

He highlighted women's attainment of supervisory, leadership, and judicial positions - participating in decision-making while achieving success in private sector ventures - enabling them to secure advanced regional and international standing, with many now ranking among the world's most influential female figures.

Sheikh Hamoud commended Kuwait Oil Company and Faza'a Al-Dahiya team for spotlighting Kuwaiti women's achievements, stressing Al Ahmadi Governorate's commitment to cooperative initiatives showcasing women's pioneering roles and all active societal contributors.

Corporate Leadership Perspective:
Kuwait National Petroleum Company CEO Wafaa Al-Khateeb told KUNA this honor recognizes not her personally but all Kuwaiti women in the oil sector. She noted women's societal role predates oil discovery, with many leaving distinguished marks nationally and regionally.

Al-Khateeb emphasized women's exceptional impact in Kuwait's oil sector, with their leadership achievements surpassing regional and global counterparts. These gains reflect the state's belief in equal opportunities based on merit - translated through education and career advancement systems.

She affirmed political leadership support has been instrumental in women's professional validation and alignment with "Kuwait Vision 2035" developmental strategy enhancing global competitiveness.

Faza'a Al-Dahiya team leader Sara Al-Azemi told KUNA the event empowers women by highlighting their achievements across all fields under the initiative's quality-of-life community pillar.

The celebration featured three sessions: "National Identity" (reinforcing patriotism and family roles), "Life Balance" (empowering women in family structures), and "Generational Development" - an environmental program with 24 criteria involving multiple ministries to achieve ecological health advancements.

Al-Azemi noted Kuwaiti women's pioneering roles flourish under supreme leadership and institutional support, with her team committed to showcasing these achievements and enabling further deserved accomplishments.
