Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) Inaugurates Solar Power Stations at LNG Filling Branches in Al-Shu'aiba and Umm Al-Aish..

During the inauguration ceremony, Acting CEO Sheikh Khaled Ahmed Al-Malik Al-Sabah stated that with this launch, KOTC becomes the first company in Kuwait's oil sector to implement such strategic renewable energy projects.

Sheikh Khaled emphasized that the project aims to achieve full operations of both LNG filling facilities using renewable energy, supporting environmental sustainability efforts. He described this as a qualitative and strategic leap toward energy self-sufficiency by powering these vital facilities entirely through solar energy, thereby promoting environmental sustainability and clean energy.

The Acting CEO affirmed that the project reflects KOTC's commitment to Kuwait's vision for carbon neutrality and emission reduction. It will decrease reliance on the national power grid and reduce carbon footprint through effective solar energy utilization, he added.

Sheikh Khaled highlighted that the project serves as a pioneering model for renewable energy initiatives in Kuwait, enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and supporting environmental sustainability according to the highest global standards. This reinforces KOTC's leadership in adopting clean and sustainable energy solutions.

He praised the dedicated efforts of the company's project team, noting how their work exemplifies national employees' commitment to contributing to this achievement, which provides both environmental and economic benefits for the country.
