Eng. Khaled Al-Osaimi, Director General of the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport, affirmed full commitment to the scheduled timeline for completing the railway project. He emphasized removing any potential obstacles through direct coordination with various government entities to ensure smooth implementation.

This statement came during a press briefing held by Al-Osaimi on Tuesday following a meeting at the Roads Authority headquarters with the acting representative of the railway project's consulting agreement. The meeting aimed to follow up on detailed design studies for the railway route.

Al-Osaimi added that the meeting addressed technical aspects related to route details in preparation for launching the railway project under the consulting agreement, which includes preparing necessary studies and detailed designs.

He clarified that discussions also covered the first phase spanning 111 kilometers as part of the Gulf railway network.

The Director General indicated plans to invite concerned parties to a coordination meeting soon to accelerate and facilitate project implementation procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient project launch.
