Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, emphasized the importance of supporting youth and honing their skills to help them achieve their aspirations through impactful activities and programs.

This came during the third meeting of the Board of Directors of the Public Youth Authority, chaired by Minister Al-Mutairi, where several topics were discussed to advance youth work in ways that benefit Kuwaiti youth and enhance their capabilities in achieving sustainable development.

In a statement following the meeting, the Authority stated that Minister Al-Mutairi stressed the need for the executive body of the Authority to follow up on all matters related to empowering youth and refining their skills by organizing positive and impactful programs in the Authority’s affiliated centers.

It was noted that the meeting approved the Authority’s operational plan for the fiscal year (2025/2026), which focuses on youth development in key fields, particularly science, technology, artificial intelligence, and technical fields, as they represent the future of the world.

Additionally, the meeting endorsed enhanced cooperation between the Authority and the Qatar Debates Center to further develop youth skills in debate, given the outstanding achievements of Kuwaiti youth in previous international debate championships.
