(Environmental Protection): Keen to promote innovative environmental engineering projects and green jobs..

The Kuwait Environmental Protection Society (KEPS) emphasized on Monday its commitment to promoting innovative projects across various fields of environmental engineering, encouraging the study of environmental sciences and engineering, and showcasing green job opportunities linked to this modern scientific discipline.

Yousef Al-Ramzi, head of the Environmental Engineers Team and official spokesperson for KEPS, stated in a press release that the society participated in the Engineering Specializations Exhibition recently organized by the Kuwaiti Engineers Society. The event aimed to introduce innovative engineering projects and green career opportunities.

Al-Ramzi added that KEPS’s pavilion featured innovations and graduation projects by team members from accredited American universities specializing in environmental sciences and engineering. These studies represent a modern and progressive approach, serving as preparatory steps for entering green job fields, which are key to sustainable development.

He praised the exhibition for aligning with current trends, particularly after the Civil Service Commission included "Environmental Engineer" in its employment plans. He also commended the participation of various engineering associations in guiding students interested in joining local universities or applying for overseas scholarship programs.

Al-Ramzi noted that the exhibition’s concept aligns with KEPS’s efforts to raise awareness among students, especially high school graduates and their parents, about pursuing environmental engineering studies—consistent with the Engineers Society’s educational role.

The event saw participation from engineers across all disciplines, alongside representatives from public and private universities and scholarship agencies, who provided insights into engineering studies, career prospects, and employment opportunities.
