Decree No. (47/2025) Issued by His Excellency Dr. Adel Borsali, President of the Supreme Judicial Council and Chief Justice of the Court of Cassation

In accordance with a statement issued by the Ministry of Justice on Thursday, Decree No. (47/2025) stipulates the following:

"Having reviewed:

• Decree-Law No. (23/1990) regarding the Judicial Regulation Law and its amendments;

• Supreme Judicial Council Resolution No. (23/2023) concerning measures to be taken by the Chief Justice of the Court of Cassation to address the backlog of appeals before the Court; and

• Pursuant to the authorization granted by the General Assembly of the Court in its session dated 22 September 2024, empowering the Chief Justice to take necessary measures in the interest of judicial work;

And in consideration of operational requirements for the new judicial year (2025/2026), the following is decreed:

Article One:
A committee shall be formed under the chairmanship of Mr. Ahmed Al-Amer, Supervisor of the Court of Cassation's Clerk Administration, with membership from several administrative staff. The committee's tasks shall include:

1. Conducting a comprehensive inventory of all appeals and case files currently before the Court of Cassation, classified according to their actual status and nature (criminal, administrative, civil, commercial, labor, personal status/family, and judicial requests).

2. Completing this inventory within one month from the date of this decree's issuance.

Article Two:
Concerned parties shall be notified of this decree.
