Iran "strongly condemned" on Tuesday the attacks and violations committed by the Israeli occupation in areas of occupied Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani stated in an announcement carried by official Iranian media that "the continued siege of Gaza, prevention of food and medicine access, and the imposition of hunger and thirst on the population of this sector, coinciding with the bombing of tents and refugee gathering centers, constitutes a savage war crime being carried out as part of completing the colonial genocide scheme against Palestinians."

Kanaani noted "the martyrdom of over 100 innocent Palestinians in the past 24 hours, including the cowardly assassination of Palestinian Legislative Council member Muhammad Faraj al-Ghoul and the famous Quran reciter Alaa Azzam and his family."

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman called on regional and Islamic countries to take serious measures to stop the genocide in occupied Palestine.

Separately, Kanaani pointed to the continuation of Israeli aggression against Syrian territorial integrity, stressing that the "inaction" of the UN Security Council regarding these aggressive acts poses a grave danger that leads to further escalation by the occupation.

Kanaani also expressed his strong condemnation and deep concern regarding clashes in Syria's Sweida region in the south, which resulted in dozens of civilian casualties.

On a related note, Kanaani denounced the "criminal" attack launched by the Israeli occupation on areas of northern Bekaa, Baalbek, and Hermel in Lebanon, which killed and wounded 24 people.
