Cinematic Image Reception".. A workshop within the (17th Cultural Summer Festival) about film production stages..

The workshop focused on analyzing a short film written by Hamdi and directed by Karim Shaaban, guiding participants through the filmmaking process - from conceptualization and dramatic treatment to screenplay writing, set design, casting, filming, and finally editing and sound design.

In remarks to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), screenwriter Hamdi emphasized the importance of deeply understanding every on-screen artistic element - lighting, colors, and camera angles - noting how each detail carries meaning and influences audience perception. He explained that analyzing each production phase helps comprehend how cinematic imagery is crafted and why it takes its final form, stressing that while cultural contexts may differ, the artistic product ultimately reaching viewers remains universal.

Hamdi expressed gratitude to the National Council and Kuwait National Library for organizing such beneficial events for youth, highlighting how hosting international experts reflects the Council's commitment to delivering quality festival programming and supporting local cinematic aspirations.

Workshop participant Saleh Taqi told KUNA that as a photography enthusiast, he joined to enhance his skills, particularly appreciating the focus on cinematic vision which shares technical foundations with photography. Taqi noted the instructor's detailed breakdown of lens types and dramatic shot compositions provided valuable technical insights applicable to his photographic work.

Fellow participant Manal Al-Tamimi shared with KUNA her motivation as a film and series enthusiast seeking to understand Hamdi's dramatic writing approach. Having followed his work, she valued learning his screenwriting methodology and comparing it with other writers' styles, affirming such workshops enrich artistic amateurs by offering intimate exposure to content creation processes.

The 17th Cultural Summer Festival launched last Wednesday for a seven-week run featuring diverse cultural and artistic programming.
