Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stressed on Wednesday his country's support for Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, affirming that Iran stands by the Syrian people in light of the aggression carried out by the Israeli occupation on Syrian territory.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Amir-Abdollahian wrote that the Israeli occupation "knows no boundaries and understands only one language," adding that "the world, including the region, must unite to end these reckless attacks."
Earlier in the day, the Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported that Israeli occupation forces carried out airstrikes targeting sites in the city of Daraa, southern Syria. It also quoted the Syrian Health Ministry's media office as stating that one person was killed and 18 others were wounded in strikes on the capital, Damascus.
