Her Excellency Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, announced today, Thursday, the distribution of the first batch of hearing aids to citizens with hearing disabilities after a several-year hiatus. This initiative aims to facilitate their daily lives and enhance their communication abilities and social integration.
Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Dr. Al-Huwailah stated that "hearing aids represent an essential tool enabling individuals to live independently and interact naturally with their environment."
She added that this initial batch marks just the beginning, with subsequent distributions to follow to ensure all requests are fulfilled, prioritizing applicants based on chronological order of submission.
The Minister emphasized the commitment of the Public Authority for Disability Affairs to provide various assistive devices, including wheelchairs and others, designed to support the psychological and social integration and empowerment of persons with disabilities.
