On Thursday evening, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan expressed appreciation for the United States' efforts to support security and stability in Syria.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry stated in a release that this came during a phone call between Prince Faisal bin Farhan and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The statement added that the Saudi Foreign Minister reaffirmed the Kingdom's condemnation of the Israeli occupation's attacks on Syria and its interference in Syria's internal affairs, stressing the importance of respecting its independence and sovereignty and the need to halt aggression against its territory.

The statement noted that Prince Faisal bin Farhan emphasized the importance of concerted efforts to support the Syrian government's measures to achieve security and establish the rule of law across all Syrian territory, in a manner that preserves Syria's unity and achieves civil peace.
