Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority, revealed on Wednesday some of the major surprises awaiting audiences at this year's Riyadh Season. He emphasized that the season will be exceptional, packed with global events as well as Saudi, Gulf, and Syrian content.

In a video posted on his official account on X (formerly Twitter), Al-Sheikh stated that Riyadh is currently witnessing unprecedented entertainment momentum, highlighted by hosting the Esports World Cup—the world's largest esports tournament, with prize money exceeding $70 million—drawing massive global attention. He confirmed that the season’s events will continue to escalate week after week.

He also announced the upcoming Riyadh Comedy Festival, set to launch in late September, with some participating names already revealed earlier in the day. Al-Sheikh noted that the next Riyadh Season will feature a strong presence of Saudi and Gulf content, alongside prominent Syrian artists in theatrical performances and concerts, in addition to global events including major music concerts, football matches, boxing fights, and wrestling events.

Furthermore, he hinted at additional surprises to be unveiled soon, including a six-player tennis championship featuring the world’s top six players competing for the largest prize in the sport’s history, building on last year's tremendous success.
