Regional Recognition
In an interview with KUNA, Dr. Tarek Saada, Egyptian Senator and Head of the Journalists' Syndicate, stated: "Kuwait's selection as the Capital of Culture and Media confirms its position as an intellectual and media platform with wide Arab influence." He noted Kuwait's pioneering regional role in culture and media since the early days of theater, press, and television in the Gulf, thanks to consistent support from its leadership.
Saada emphasized leveraging this designation to enhance Arab cooperation, praising the exemplary media collaboration between Egypt and Kuwait as a model of bilateral relations. He revealed ongoing coordination between both countries' media institutions to unify messaging on key Arab issues like Palestine and Arab national security, with official invitations extended to Kuwaiti media organizations to discuss cooperation mechanisms.
Future Collaboration
The Egyptian Journalists' Syndicate is currently preparing a cooperation protocol with Kuwait in training, artificial intelligence, and media development.
Radwa Hashim, spokesperson for Egypt's Ministry of Culture, stated: "Kuwait's selection is well-deserved recognition for its media legacy and decades-long support for Arab causes."
