According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the meeting was held as part of their roles as co-chairs of the Saudi-Russian Joint Governmental Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation. The two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation within the committee's framework and progress made since its eighth session.
The discussions covered plans to sign several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) across various sectors including industry, education, media, and Hajj/Umrah services, following the recent announcement of direct flights between the two countries.
The officials also made arrangements for the committee's ninth session scheduled for November in Riyadh. Additionally, they discussed oil market developments and ongoing cooperation within the OPEC+ framework.
