The General Authority of Manpower (GAM) announced on Thursday the closure of a violating medical clinic for storing and using unlicensed, smuggled, and uncertified medicines, confirming that legal measures have been taken against those responsible.
In a post on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, GAM stated that the inspection campaign was carried out under the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah. The operation was conducted in coordination with the Residency Investigations Department, the Medical Licensing Department, and the Drug Inspection Department of the Ministry of Health.

Improper storage methods violating approved health regulations
Legal measures were immediately initiated against the clinic’s management.
Six workers were referred to the relevant authorities.
Administrative deportation procedures were activated for the violators.
The case file has been transferred to the concerned authorities to complete legal proceedings.
GAM reaffirmed its continued efforts, in coordination with regulatory bodies, to ensure all facilities comply with laws and regulations, safeguard public health and safety, and deter any violations that threaten public order or endanger lives.
