The General Authority of Manpower (GAM) announced on Thursday the closure of a violating medical clinic for storing and using unlicensed, smuggled, and uncertified medicines, confirming that legal measures have been taken against those responsible.

In a post on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, GAM stated that the inspection campaign was carried out under the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah. The operation was conducted in coordination with the Residency Investigations Department, the Medical Licensing Department, and the Drug Inspection Department of the Ministry of Health.

Violations Discovered:

• Possession and use of unlicensed, smuggled, and uncertified medicines

• Improper storage methods violating approved health regulations

Actions Taken:

• Legal measures were immediately initiated against the clinic’s management.

• Six workers were referred to the relevant authorities.

• Administrative deportation procedures were activated for the violators.

• The case file has been transferred to the concerned authorities to complete legal proceedings.
