Eng. Manal Al-Asfour, Director General of Kuwait Municipality, held discussions with Sheikha Jawaher Ibrahim Al-Duaij Al-Sabah, Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights and Ambassador, to explore bilateral cooperation and joint coordination mechanisms for implementing the Accessibility Building Code concerning People of Determination (persons with disabilities).

In an official statement released by the Municipality on Thursday following the meeting, Eng. Al-Asfour emphasized that the talks also addressed implementing international commitments and recommendations related to People of Determination. "This will significantly contribute to their full integration into all aspects of life," she stated.

The Director General expressed her strong appreciation for the productive meeting with Sheikha Jawaher Al-Sabah, praising her outstanding contributions to human rights on the international stage. "We are fully committed to mobilizing all municipal resources and capabilities to support these vital efforts in serving People of Determination, particularly those with special needs," Al-Asfour affirmed.
