Jordan's King Abdullah II warned of the dangers posed by the Israeli Security Cabinet's plan to consolidate the occupation of Gaza and expand military control over the territory.
The Royal Hashemite Court stated in a press release that the King made these remarks during his meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, who headed his country's delegation to the meetings of the Jordanian-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
The Jordanian monarch strongly rejected attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank or annex territories, stressing the urgent need to immediately halt the war on Gaza and ensure sufficient aid flows to alleviate the suffering of civilians.
King Abdullah emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation between Jordan and Egypt, particularly in the economic sphere, to serve mutual interests. He praised Egypt's efforts under President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's leadership in supporting the Palestinian cause.
