H.E. Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), expressed on Sunday his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the governments and peoples of Pakistan and India for the victims of the devastating floods that recently hit several states and regions in both countries, resulting in significant casualties and injuries.

In an official press statement, Al-Budaiwi prayed to God to protect both nations and their friendly peoples from all harm and misfortune, and to grant the injured a speedy recovery.

The Secretary General affirmed the GCC's solidarity with Pakistan and India during this difficult time, while praising the ongoing relief efforts by authorities and humanitarian organizations in both countries.
