Starlink's satellite internet network has seen a significant jump in speeds during 2025, thanks to the unprecedented pace of satellite launches this year, along with continuous software updates that have improved network performance both in orbit and on the ground.
Starlink's upload speeds have increased by more than 50% over the year, going from an average of around 150 Mbps in January to more than 200 Mbps today. Upload speeds have seen a similar improvement, rising from 20 Mbps to more than 30 Mbps now. These figures represent average peak speeds across the entire network, while many users report higher download speeds of up to 300 and even 400 Mbps at times.
