In an unprecedented strategic move that puts Saudi Arabia at the forefront of the next generation of global artificial intelligence infrastructure, Humain, a subsidiary of the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), and Qualcomm Technologies of the United States have announced a qualitative strategic partnership aimed at launching an advanced artificial intelligence infrastructure in the Kingdom.
The core of this partnership lies in the creation of the world's first integrated hybrid AI ecosystem that connects edge computing (Edge computing) and cloud computing, in addition to integrating locally developed AI models in Saudi Arabia, such as Humane's AllaM model, into Qualcomm's platforms, enabling the development of customer-specific solutions to meet the needs of government sectors and organizations in the Kingdom and beyond. The announcement, which came on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative (FII 9) conference held in Riyadh, represents a practical embodiment of the goals of Vision 2030 to make the Kingdom a global hub for artificial intelligence. This qualitative step comes at a pivotal moment in the Kingdom's transformation from a consumer of technologies to a producer of smart infrastructure, which will form the basis for the upcoming Fifth Industrial Revolution.
