The State of Kuwait today, Sunday, celebrated the flag-raising ceremony under the patronage of His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect him, marking the official launch of the country’s national celebrations.

Flag Day represents the starting point of the national festivities commemorating the 65th anniversary of National Day and the 35th anniversary of Liberation Day, keeping their meanings, values, and significance alive in the hearts of the Kuwaiti people. On this occasion, citizens reflect on the nation’s glorious historical journey and the achievements realized under the wise leadership throughout the years across various fields.

All six governorates of Kuwait are witnessing flag-raising ceremonies in festive atmospheres, officially announcing the commencement of national events and activities across the country. Meanwhile, streets and government buildings are adorned with portraits of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the Kuwaiti flag, in scenes that reflect joy, pride, and national unity on these two cherished occasions.
