Ayaneo has officially announced the launch of its new device, the Next 2, a Windows-based handheld gaming console that serves as the next generation of the Ayaneo Next, which first debuted in 2022.

Ayaneo has officially unveiled its new Next 2 handheld gaming device, a Windows-based console positioned as the successor to the Ayaneo Next, which first debuted in 2022.

The new model introduces noticeable upgrades in both design and specifications, with a stronger emphasis on performance and display quality.

Large OLED Display with Multiple Refresh Rates

The Ayaneo Next 2 features a 9.06-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400 × 1504 pixels, supporting switchable refresh rates of 60Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz, and 165Hz.

Peak brightness reaches 1,155 nits, with full DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, alongside high-frequency PWM dimming designed to reduce eye strain.

The company has also redesigned the chassis, incorporating larger grips to improve comfort during extended gaming sessions.

Ryzen AI Processors and Powerful Graphics Performance

The device is available with two AMD processor options:

  • Ryzen AI Max+ 395

  • Ryzen AI Max 385

The higher-end configuration is built on AMD’s 4nm Zen 5 architecture, featuring 16 cores and 32 threads, with boost clocks of up to 5.1GHz.

On the graphics side, the device integrates the Radeon 8060S GPU based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture, along with dedicated AI acceleration powered by the XDNA 2 NPU.
