Britain and Japan are poised to forge investment and technology partnerships worth over £18 billion ($24 billion), expected to create tens of thousands of jobs, during a meeting between Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his Japanese counterpart, Sanae Takaichi, on Sunday. The agreements include five-year Japanese investment plans worth over £9 billion in infrastructure and financial services, along with plans to provide up to another £9 billion for offshore wind energy projects in Britain.
