OpenAI recently announced three GPT 5.6 models: Sol, Terra, and Luna. Alongside these models, they also announced a new Work feature within the official ChatGPT application. As its name suggests, the Work agent helps you accomplish tasks by gathering context from your files and various tools such as Google Drive, Slack, GitHub, Notion, and others. Over 1,400 extensions are available to work with the Work agent. These extensions enable ChatGPT Work to collect data from your various applications and your computer or web browsing (via Chrome), ultimately generating publishable documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, according to OpenAI. Among its most notable extensions are Sites, which transforms the outcome of any task into an interactive website or web application that can be shared and automatically updated, and Tasks, which allows you to schedule and track recurring tasks from your phone. You can also specify the strength of the permissions given to the agent. Do you want to approve every task it performs? Or only high-risk tasks? Or give it full permission to do whatever it wants on your computer or in your browser? Super App - Previously, OpenAI had two applications: the usual ChatGBT application for conversation, etc., and the Codex application for the programming agent and its tasks.
