The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed on Tuesday the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the Houthi militia attacks that targeted civilian and economic sites in a number of cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, resulting in the injury of dozens of civilians, including women and children, in flagrant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a direct threat to the security and safety of its citizens and residents on its territory, a breach of international law and international humanitarian law, and a dangerous and unjustified escalation that would undermine regional security and stability.
The ministry also expressed in a statement the State of Kuwait’s condemnation of the Houthi militia’s continued targeting of commercial ships in the Red Sea, which poses a direct threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation, global energy supplies, and international trade.
The Ministry affirmed the State of Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, standing by its side and supporting all measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, maintain its security, stability and interests, and protect its people and residents on its territory, stressing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
