Google has added a new feature to its Gmail app that simplifies working with two-factor authentication (2FA) codes on Android and iPhone devices, following the recent introduction of in-app search and conversation features. Gmail now displays a new "Copy code" button below the email, along with the verification code, eliminating the need for users to manually open the email, locate the code, and copy it. Once the button is clicked, Gmail copies the authentication code to the clipboard, allowing users to paste it directly into the app or service requesting the verification code.
