Apple is preparing to launch its highly anticipated HomePad smart home device on October 13, according to a new report from Mark Gurman, making it a key part of the company's smart home strategy.

At the same time, Apple is expected to unveil a new HomePod mini and an updated Apple TV 4K, years after the release of the current generations. All three devices will support the new AI-powered Siri.

The HomePad will feature a 6-inch screen that can be wall-mounted or placed on a desktop, and will be nearly as thick as an iPhone with bezels similar to those of older iPads.
