The United States announced on Tuesday that President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have demonstrated a strong commitment during the first 100 days of the current U.S. administration to brokering a ceasefire and establishing lasting peace in the Gaza Strip.

Diplomatic Engagement for Post-War Governance
State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce told reporters at the Department's Washington headquarters that Rubio is "actively collaborating with Israel, Arab partners, and the European Union to establish a governance framework for postwar Gaza and lay the foundation for Arab-led reconstruction efforts, consistent with President Trump's long-term vision for regional peace."

Urgent Humanitarian Needs
Bruce emphasized that "there is an urgent need for medicine, food, and humanitarian assistance in Gaza—and we are taking charge of this effort." She affirmed U.S. support for humanitarian aid delivery "with safeguards to prevent diversion, looting, or misuse by terrorist groups such as Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad."

U.S. Credibility on the Line
The spokesperson added, "I can say unequivocally about President Trump—when he makes a commitment, he follows through without hesitation."

Gaza Conflict Toll Worsens
The Israeli military offensive in Gaza, now in its nineteenth month, has resulted in over 52,000 fatalities and 117,000 injuries according to Tuesday's figures from the Palestinian Health Ministry.
