Atlético Madrid delivered a dominant performance on Saturday, thrashing visiting Real Sociedad 4-0 at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium in Matchday 35 of La Liga.

Norwegian striker Alexander Sørloth was the hero of the match, netting all four goals for the hosts in a stunning first-half display—scoring in the 7th, 10th, 11th, and 30th minutes. This remarkable haul took his season tally to 16 goals, moving him into fifth place in the league's top scorers' chart.

The second half saw no further goals, as Diego Simeone’s side comfortably secured all three points, taking their league total to 70 and consolidating third place—nine points behind leaders Barcelona and five behind second-placed Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Real Sociedad remained stagnant on 43 points, stuck in 12th position.

In another highlight of Matchday 35, Barcelona and Real Madrid will clash in the season’s final El Clásico on Sunday at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Catalonia.
