UN condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi airports, warns of escalating fighting in Yemen
الأمم المتحدة تدين هجمات الحوثيين على مطاري أبها والرياض وتحذر من التصعيد في اليمن

The United Nations has renewed its strong condemnation of continued cross-border attacks by the Houthis against Saudi Arabia, including recent strikes on Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in the capital, Riyadh.
The attacks reportedly killed three people and injured several others.
Speaking at the daily press briefing, UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said the organisation remains deeply concerned about the ongoing military escalation in and around Yemen, as fighting intensifies on multiple fronts, including the area around Taiz.
Dujarric stressed that attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure are prohibited under international humanitarian law.
He reiterated the UN's call on all parties to honour their obligations and duties under international humanitarian law, to refrain from launching direct attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure, and to take the utmost care at all times to spare civilians and civilian facilities from harm.
The remarks come as cross-border attacks on Saudi territory continue alongside heavy fighting inside Yemen. The UN has repeatedly emphasised that protecting civilians and civilian infrastructure must remain a priority amid the escalation.
