The White House said on Friday that President Donald Trump’s upcoming trip to the Gulf region next week highlights the beginning of a "golden age" for the unity between the United States and the Middle East in a shared vision of stability, opportunity, and mutual respect.
White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt added in a press briefing that Trump "looks forward to embarking on his historic return to the Middle East with visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates next week."
She noted that the U.S. president will focus during his tour on "strengthening ties between our nations" and will reaffirm his enduring vision of "a proud, prosperous, and successful Middle East, where the U.S. and regional states build cooperative relationships and where extremism is defeated in favor of trade and cultural exchange."
Levitt emphasized that Trump’s trip "highlights how we stand on the brink of a golden era for both America and the Middle East, united by a common vision of stability, opportunity, and mutual respect."
U.S. President Donald Trump will undertake his Gulf tour from Tuesday to Friday next week, visiting Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar—marking his first such trip during his current term.
