The Kuwait Camel Racing Club officially wrapped up its 2024-2025 domestic season on Saturday at Al-Shahid Fahad Al-Ahmad Racetrack, featuring 11 races including four premier events for young camel categories (Liqaya and Haqaiq female races, and Qaadan/Ibkar male divisions).

Club Treasurer Misfir Al-Ajmi told KUNA after the championship race (#28) that the season, which began last September, saw strong participation from Kuwaiti camel owners with weekly races marked by intense competition. He credited the season's organizational success to Kuwait's superior camel breeds and effective collaboration between owners and club committees, resulting in high-caliber races.

Al-Ajmi highlighted February's successful 23rd Annual Kuwait International Camel Racing Championship under royal patronage, where Kuwaiti camels excelled. He noted the club's participation in multiple Gulf and Arab competitions this season with outstanding results.

The four main cup races saw victories by:

  1. "Mubhir" (Owner: Mubarak Al-Dawas) - Race 1

  2. "Mishaghib" (Same owner) - Race 2

  3. "Malba" (Owner: Satam Al-Suhaili) - Race 5

  4. "Al-Faiza" (Owner: Falah Al-Hajri) - Race 6

Al-Ajmi reaffirmed the board's commitment to developing this traditional sport, noting growing youth participation and praising all organizing committees. The event included seven additional supporting races.
